We went out to the Mokes Jan last year, and had an stunning day - bronzes on both dives, rays, massive schools of fish, dolphins and hammerhead sharks from the boat on the way out there... They're often considered the 'Poor Knights of the Gulf' as they sit on the tail end of the same predominant current.
We've put together a one off day trip departing Sandspit. It's a long way out (about 2 hours boat ride). 2 dives, 7 spaces on the boat (plus me!)
Boat is a nice hardboat that's perfect for 8 organised divers. Skipper is a great dude, with a super chilled atmosphere - this isn't a rushed trip!
Important stuff - as this is a 'custom' charter, while we will always aim for the Mokes, if weather doesn't allow us to get that far out we'll head somewhere line Hen & chicks etc and the price doesn't change based on distance so you have to be willing to accept that risk. If the weather means a cancellation then of course a refund is not a problem.
Because of the distance and the more challenging nature of the dives, this has a trip entry requirement of Advanced Open Water, 40 logged dives and having dived in the last 6 months. If you book a spot and don't meet these requirements, then you won't be diving and no, you don't get a refund :)
